Mathieu Mategot folded magazine rack by Artimeta 1955


Very nice folded red magazine rack, by Mathieu Mategot for Artimeta Soest 1955. A lot of people still doubt some items really are Mategot, but during the 1950s Mategot sold some rights to Artimeta to produce some products as Artimeta Mategot products. He designed some items for Artimeta which weren’t released in France but only in Holland so outside Holland these items are very hard to find. As also for this bowl. This magazine rack is also documented in the book by Jousse enterprise, small pictures on the end. Rack is in a very nice original vintage condition, only some user wear to the bottom which is normal for an item this age. Very decorative!
