‘Paola’ sideboard by Oswald Vermaercke for V-Form 1959

Very nice long sideboard ‘Paola’ by Oswald Vermaercke for V-Form in 1959. This series was named after the Belgian queen who married king Albert in that time. Very elegant series of sideboards, designed after the Danish craze in that period, with typical organic shaped drawers, a bit in the style of Arne Vodder. For one who loves the finishing from Denmark a true diamond, with rounded corners and sharp edged slim feet. Very nice typical Belgian teak color, very nice warm and a very nice grain on the wood, especially on the drawers! This has a flip door on the left, with 2 shelves, in the middle 2 sliding doors with one large shelve and on the right 4 very nice shaped drawers, with invisible handles and very elegant bent wood inside. Very nice condition, only some minimal chips to the drawers, which I don’t find disturbing.
